| The Fire District budget for 2026 was debated and agreed upon at a public hearing on Tuesday night, October 21st. It is published here for your information.
It includes increases to service the voter approved building bond, and a significant increase to our equipment purchase budget.
At least three of our main pieces of apparatus are reaching their 30 year end-of-life and will have to be replaced at an estimated cost of $1.5 - $2.0 million dollars each.
Rather than pay interest on another bond to make the purchases, the commissioners voted to build a ready fund, with no interest costs, to pay for the new apparatus.
